For Marcatrè, Castiglioni designed a range of furniture for an executive office. It’s composed by desks, conference tables and modular furniture. The desk-table has its top with an unusual shape, slightly convex on the users side to facilitate mobility and concave on the outer side to suggest outreach and involvement. The top has beveled edges of 30 degrees, resting on two gloss-finish extruded aluminum legs, each fixed to a heavy cast-iron base that resembles a duck’s foot. The conference table come in two versions, triangular and circular, are both made of three segments surrounding a central triangular section and rest on the same supports.
