STYLOS

Stylos is a luminous tube 2m tall and 17cm of diameter, the idea id developed from the lamps designed for the Triennale staircase in Milan. Since it was not possible to produce it by extrusion, the cylindrical body in opaline white polymethylmetacrylate (4mm thick) is centrifuged in a tubular mold. Anchored on the floor by a slender steel disk (diameter 35cm) by three supports that slightly raise it to provide a better ventilation and passing the electrical lead, the diffuser contains two bulbs directed upwards – one at the height of the floor, other at the superior extremity. Switched on separately, the bulbs offer three different lightning effects.
