In Tabula Castiglioni keeps researching about the smooth profiles of the table top, introducing a new approach developed further in later models: to slightly detach the carried part of the supporting structure, Castiglioni devised a cast-iron bracket, set diagonally as an element of connection between the solid wooden legs and the table top. This particular attachment makes easier to cover the table with a heavy protective under-cloth, held in place by an elastic cord.
